How we started

Like most meaningful ventures, Identiteit Ontwikkeling B.V. began with a frustration that became a mission.

In 2019, we noticed a pattern. Talented Dutch professionals were struggling with their professional identity. They had real skills, genuine expertise, and valuable experience — but when they tried to market themselves, something felt off. Either they came across as arrogant, or they undersold themselves entirely.

The problem wasn’t their abilities. It was that nobody had shown them how to communicate their value in a way that felt authentic to them. So we started creating resources. Simple guides. Practical frameworks. Real examples from Dutch professionals who’d figured it out.

What began as a side project became our primary focus. We’ve since developed comprehensive educational resources covering everything from online reputation management to value proposition development.
